Everyone remembers that crucial piece of career advice they’ve been given on the way up. "The thing about you, Christa, is that you’re never going to be a writer." That was mine, soon after being promoted from receptionist to fashion PR assistant back in the early 80s.

Scroll forward thirty plus years and that is exactly what I ended up doing and this is what this is: a collection of my work from Vanity Fair, Tatler, Vogue, The Sunday Times, The Saturday Times, the Spectator, The Guardian, the Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph, and many more, stretching all the way back from the late 80s to the present. I think of each piece as a snapshot in time: Posh when she was still Posh and pregnant with her first child; Meg Whitman talking beanie babies at E-Bay; Hugh Grant pre Four Weddings And A Funeral; Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy newly married to America’s Sexiest Man Alive; me on my first trip to Afghanistan.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed putting it together. Do dive in.
